Author Guidelines

Before you begin: The new user goes to the home page of the Cortica www.revue-cortica.net website and registers to create a "login" by clicking on the "register" link. The user must provide his/her first name, last name and e-mail address. Then they are asked for additional information: author, reviewer or reader. The user will then receive a confirmation email containing their username and password. These instructions are only done once. Policy between Manuscript Contributors: Individuals named as authors must (a) have made a substantial contribution to the design of the manuscript or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; (b) write the work or critically revise it by providing significant intellectual content; (c) validate the final version to be published; (d) ensure the accuracy and integrity of the content of the manuscript. Everyone knows that the lead author will need to sign (by submitting the article online) on their behalf a "Permission to Publish" prior to publication. The authors' names that appear on the manuscript contributed substantially to the text and approved it. All works published by other researchers and used in the manuscript have been duly cited.

Manuscript Submission: The submitted manuscript must not have been pre-published. It is not under consideration for publication, in whole or in part, in any other national or international journal. The manuscript must be submitted on a word processor (Word) in Times New Roman 12. The number of words allowed varies depending on the manuscript category (editorial, original article, literature review, perspective, cortica journal club, cortica incubator), excluding abstracts, abstracts, tables, figures, and references. The French abstract and the English abstract must each be identical, followed by the keywords. The abstract should be written with the aim of providing a quick overview of the questions asked, the objectives pursued and the results obtained. The maximum number of tables and/or figures is 5. The number of references varies according to the category of the manuscript. The style of presentation of the bibliographic references is that of the American Psychological Association (APA 7 https://www.hesge.ch/heds/sites/default/files/documents/CentreDoc/citation-ref-bibio/apa_7ed_guidecitationsreferences.pdf). https://www.unige.ch/fapse/files/4916/4915/2442/SSED_References_bibliographiques_APA7-mars_2022.pdf

The manuscript submitted to Cortica must not have been previously published (except for an abstract of less than 250 words), nor must it be simultaneously submitted for publication in another journal. The lead author guarantees that the manuscript is original, has not been submitted for publication to another journal, and has not been previously published.

The manuscript submitted must be clear and easily understandable, accurate and concise; Simple and correct French with always an abstract (250 words) and a title in English. Abbreviations that are not internationally recognized should be explained when they first appear in the text and then used consistently and inconsistently.
