Abstract

The mechanisms of stress and emotions significantly impact students' performance and well-being, particularly in demanding academic environments. This study explores how raising awareness of these mechanisms affects gymnasium students’ learning difficulties. A mixed-method approach was used, combining a theoretical review with an empirical study, including a survey of students (n=45) and the development of an interactive tool (on the Genial.ly platform) to improve stress and emotion management. The findings reveal that academic stress is primarily driven by workload and uncertainty about success and that awareness of these mechanisms can mitigate their negative effects. The use of the interactive tool also led to a more positive perception of stress and improved emotional management. These results highlight the importance of educational strategies aimed at increasing students' awareness of these mechanisms to enhance their well-being and academic performance.
