Abstract

This CAS in educational neuroscience project presents a pedagogical intervention project with teenagers who have been bullied. This work tackles a crucial subject in today's school context by linking neuroscience to the current problem of bullying. The PRESENCE model presented in this CAS provides an important reference point for brain development and function. It underlines the importance of environmental interactions on brain development, particularly during adolescence. The aim of this study was first to understand the effects of bullying on teenagers' brains, and then to envisage and implement an intervention to support these teenagers in their resilience process. The aim was to test the hypothesis that students' self-esteem and motivation would change for the better. Preliminary results have not yet validated our hypothesis. However, the theory and documentation as well as the initial data collection support the hypothesis. Further work will be required to validate the hypothesis or not. However, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported me, as well as my students for their participation in this project.
