Open Access Policy
Cortica is an open access diamond journal. It provides permanent and free access to these articles at no cost to the authors. All articles are published under a Creative Commons CC BY license.
Authors do not have to pay any processing or publication fees. They also retain all rights to their work and allow it to be shared and reused, as long as it is properly cited. Authors are free to deposit submitted, accepted, or published versions of their work on institutional or other servers.
Readers around the world can download, share, or use the articles for free.
Licence Creative Commons

Authors who publish in this journal agree to the following conditions:
- The authors retain the copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication under a Creative Commons license that allows others to share the work with acknowledgment of the authorship of the work and the original publication in that journal.
- Authors may enter into separate additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the article (e.g., send it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with acknowledgment of its original publication in that journal.
- Authors are allowed and encouraged to publish their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges, as well as faster and more significant citation of published work (see The Effect of Open Access).
