L’impact des pratiques parentales sur les comportements internalisés et externalisés des jeunes et l’épaisseur corticale des adolescents

Résumé

Le but de cette étude était d’évaluer l’impact des pratiques parentales, hostile et surprotectrice, sur l’émergence des comportements internalisés et externalisés chez les jeunes et sur l’épaisseur corticale du lobe temporal des adolescents. L’échantillon était constitué de jumeaux monozygotes ainsi que leur parent (N=61). Les parents ont évalué leur niveau d’hostilité et de surprotection et les jeunes ont été évalués grâce au Dominic Interactiv. Parmi les résultats, il a été montré que les comportements internalisés et externalisés augmentent avec l’avancée en âge des jeunes. Aussi, l’hostilité maternelle impacte l’émergence de comportements externalisés chez les jeunes. Puis les pratiques paternelles ont un effet sur l’épaisseur corticale du lobe temporal chez les adolescents. Pour conclure, cette étude enrichit la littérature existante, offrant ainsi de nouvelles pistes pour la recherche future et la pratique clinique pour améliorer le bien- être des jeunes.
